The first three of Neil Armstrong’s famous words as he stepped down the landing craft ladder and onto the surface of the moon in 1969.
We were overcome with pride while watching intently on our black and white or primitive color tv’s on that July evening. We were proud for mankind, which Astronaut Armstrong acknowledged, but in all honesty, we were most proud of ourselves.
